Spirituality is a buzz word within much contemporary Christianity. It is widely accepted that pastoral ministry is involving an increasing recognition of the importance of spirituality, for both the personal faith of the pastor and the spiritual development of congregations. But how can we ensure that spirituality remains firmly biblical in its approach? How can we develop approaches to spirituality which engage both head and heart, yet remain faithful to Scripture? This series will explore the rich field of biblical spirituality and identify ways in which it can bring freshness to the personal faith of pastors and congregations. Also included in this series is the Pastors' Practicum and all roundtable discussions.
Marva Dawn is Adjunct Professor of Spiritual Theology at Regent College. She is also a prolific author, theologian and founder of Christians Equipped for Ministry. Her books include Keeping the Sabbath Wholly and Unfettered Hope: A Call to Faithful Living in an Affluent Society.
