Description

In this, the 20th annual Christian in the Marketplace Conference, experienced and thoughtful speakers explore the biblical roots of Sabbath and the spirituality of Christian serenity. This conference examines how in the midst of pressure, we can live with serenity at the centre -- rather than the edges -- of our involvement with the world.

Maxine Hancock is Professor of Interdisciplinary Studies at Regent College in Vancouver, British Columbia. Among her other books are several on family relationships, including Living on Less and Liking in More, Re-evaluating Your Commitments, and Creative, Confident, Children. And notably, her work on Bunyan in A Key in the Window: Marginal Notes in Bunyan's Narratives.

Rod Wilson is President and Professor of Counselling and Psychology at Regent College. He is the author of Counseling and Community, Exploring Your Anger and Helping Angry People.

R. Paul Stevens is Professor Emeritus of Marketplace Theology at Regent College. He is the author of Liberating the Laity, Disciplines of the Hungry Heart, The Other Six Days, Marriage Spirituality, Doing God's Business and co-editor (with Robert J.
