Product DetailsDescriptionAlthough science is widely acknowledged to have grown out of Christian assumptions about the integrity and trustworthiness of creation, many Christians have found evolutionary descriptions of the process of creation problematic. This series draws on a number of Christian scholars (including scientists and theologians) in order to illuminate both on how "evolution" can be for some a description of God's activity, and for others an alternative to God. Walter Thorson is Adjunct Professor of Philosophy of Science at Regent College and Professor Emeritus at the University of Alberta. Rikk E. Watts is Associate Professor of New Testament at Regent College. He is author of a recently published book on the use of Isaiah in the Gospel of Mark entitled Isaiah's New Exodus and Mark. Loren E. Wilkinson is Professor of Interdisciplinary Studies and Philosophy at Regent College. Loren speaks frequently on Christianity and the environment. He is the editor of Earthkeeping in the '90's and the author of Caring for Creation in Your Own Backyard. |
