Product DetailsDescriptionThis course is a study of a Christian ethics grounded in the Decalogue and the Sermon on the Mount. The Ten Commandments and the Beatitudes will be interpreted and applied as instruction in the key ways of loving God, loving our neighbor, pursuing justice, and promoting life and freedom. The Law and the Gospel are inextricably together in this great covenant between God and his people. Case studies in ethical issues will be explored as a hands-on method of engaging morally complex situations in the day-to-day work world. The course will explore integrity and vocational holiness in the workplace. David W. Gill is the President of the International Jacques Ellul Society and served as Carl I. Lindberg Professor of Apllied Ethics at North Park University in Chicago. His publications include The Word of God in Ethics of Jacques Ellul, Peter the Rock: Extraordinary Insights from an Ordinary Man, and The Opening of the Christian Mind. R. Paul Stevens is Professor Emeritus of Marketplace Theology at Regent College. He is the author of Liberating the Laity, Disciplines of the Hungry Heart, The Other Six Days, Marriage Spirituality, Doing God's Business and co-editor (with Robert J.
