Description

This course explores the nature and dynamics of culture, and examines lessons learned by churches ministering among the world's poor for the light they may shed for churches in relatively affluent Western contexts. Students will gain familiarity with missional church thinking, culture theory and practices proven effective in community transformation in a wide variety of cultures around the world, with critical consideration of whether those practices are applicable to the North American context.
