Alister E. McGrath is Andreas Idreos Professor of Science and Religion at the University of Oxford. He is author of many books, including A Scientific Theology,The Twilight of Atheism: The Rise and Fall of Disbelief in the Modern World, Dawkins' God: Genes, Memes, and the Meaning of Life, and The Dawkins Delusion? Atheist Fundamentalism and the Denial of the Divine.n

Bernd Wannenwetsch MA, Dr. theol., Dr. theol. Habil. (Universities of Munich and Erlangen, Germany). He is a University Lecturer in Ethics, University of Oxford, Harris Manchester College. Bernd's research focuses on conceptual problems in Christian ethics, tradition and postmodernism, scriptural ethics, worship, politics, labour and work, the relationship of the sexes, and the theologies of Martin Luther and Dietrich Bonhoeffer. Bernd is an ordained minister of the Lutheran Church of Bavaria. His most recent book is Political Worship: Ethics for Christian Citizens.

Bruce Waltke is Professor Emeritus in Old Testament Studies at Regent College in Vancouver, British Columbia. He is the author of Genesis: A Commentary, Creation and Chaos, Finding the Will of God: A Pagan Notion?, An Introduction to Biblical Hebrew Syntax, and commentaries on Micah. He also served on the translation committee of the NIV Bible.

Charles R. Ringma is Professor Emeritus of Missions and Evangelism at Regent College. He is author of many books, including Gadamer's Dialogical Hermeneutic, Cry Liberation: With Voices from the Developing World, and Seek the Silences With Thomas Merton: Reflections on Identity, Community and Transformative Action.

Christopher A. Hall is dean of the Templeton Honors College at Eastern University in St. Davids, Pennsylvannia where he has been teaching in the biblical and theological studies program. He is also associate editor of the Ancient Christian Commentary on Scripture: The Gospel of Mark (with Thomas C. Oden), Reading the Scriptures with the Fathers, and Studying Theology with the Church Fathers.

Edith Humphrey is William F. Orr Professor of New Testament at Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. She is author of The Ladies and the Cities: Transformation and Apocalyptic Identity in Joseph and Aseneth, 4 Ezra, the Apocalypse and The Shepherd of Hermas, Ecstasy and Intimacy: When the Holy Spirit Meets the Human Spirit, and And I Turned to See the Voice: The Rhetoric of Vision in the New Testament.

Gordon T. Smith (PhD, Loyola School of Theology, Ateneo de Manila University) is President of Ambrose University College and Seminary in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. He is former Academic Vice President/Dean and Associate Professor of Spiritual Theology at Regent College, and the author of Called to Be Saints: An Invitation to Christian Maturity, Essential Spirituality: Renewing Your Christian Faith through Classic Spiritual Disciplines, Listening to God in Times of Choice and Courage and Calling: Embracing Your God-given Potential.

Lauren Winner Author, speaker, historian, visiting instructor, Duke Divinity School. BA (Columbia College, New York), Mphil (Clare College, University of Cambridge), PhD (Columbia University, New York), Mdiv Cand. (Duke Divinity School). Lauren Winner is the author of three books, Girl Meets God, Mudhouse Sabbath and Real Sex: The Naked Truth about Chastity. Her essays have been included in The Best Christian Writing 2000, 2002, 2004 and 2006.

Marva Dawn is Teaching Fellow of Spiritual Theology at Regent College. She is also a prolific author, theologian and founder of Christians Equipped for Ministry. Her books include Keeping the Sabbath Wholly and Unfettered Hope: A Call to Faithful Living in an Affluent Society.

Maxine Hancock is Professor Emerita of Interdisciplinary Studies and Spiritual Theology at Regent College. Among her books are several on family relationships, including Living on Less and Liking in More, Re-evaluating Your Commitments and Creative, Confident, Children, as well as a study on John Bunyan in A Key in the Window: Marginal Notes in Bunyan's Narratives. She received the Word Guild's Leslie K. Tarr Award in 1990 for her contribution to Christian writing in Canada, and the Leading Women's Award in Communications and Media in 2004 for her leadership in communicating the Christian faith in Canada.

Rikk E. Watts is Professor of New Testament at Regent College. Previously, he served as an instructor at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, Wycliffe Hall at Oxford University, La Trobe University, and the Bible College of Victoria (now the Melbourne School of Theology). He is author of Isaiah's New Exodus in Mark, as well as a founding member of On Being, an Australian Christian magazine.

Ron Rittgers Erich Markel Chair in German Reformation Studies, Valparaiso University, Indiana.nBA (Wheaton), MTS (Regent College), PhD (Harvard). Prior to moving to Valparaiso University, Ron was the Associate Professor of History at Yale University Divinity School. He has authored a number of articles and book chapters on the theme of penitential thought and practice in late medieval and early modern Christianity. His books include The Reformation of the Keys: Confession, Conscience and Authority in Sixteenth-Century Germany.

Scott Gibson Haddon W. Robinson Professor of Preaching and Ministry, Director of the Center for Preaching, and Director of the ThM Program in Preaching, Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. BS (Pennsylvanian State University), Mdiv (Gordon-Conwell), ThM (Princeton Theological Seminary), MTh (University of Toronto), Dphil (Oxford). Scott has written or edited a number of books, including Making a Difference in Preaching, Preaching to a Shifting Culture, and forthcoming books: Planning Your Preaching and Preaching the Old Testament.

Sir John Houghton is Honorary Fellow of Jesus College, Oxford, former Professor of Atmospheric Physics at Oxford and former Director General of the UK Meteorological Office. He is author of The Physics of Atmospheres, Does God Play Dice?, The Search for God: Can Science Help? and Global Warming: The Complete Briefing.

Susan S. Phillips is Executive Director and Professor of Christianity and Sociology at New College Berkeley (an affiliate of the Graduate Theological Union in California). Susan is keenly interested in how engaging the caring practices will shape us spiritually. She is a certified spiritual director (Mercy Center, Burlingame, California) and has practised spiritual direction since the early 1990s. She edited (with Patricia Benner) The Crisis of Care and her most recent book is Candlelight: Illuminating the Art of Spiritual Direction.
