He has also contributed to The Wall Street Journal, The Weekly Standard, The Claremont Review of Books, GQ, and Slate. He is author of Bad Religion: How We Became a Nation of Heretics, Grand New Party: How Republicans Can Win the Working Class and Save the American Dream, and Privilege: Harvard and the Education of the Ruling Class.
