Description
In light of the social pathology of alienation and the prevalence of spiritual depression in an age of bureaucracy, blandness, and blindness, James Houston examines the Puritan perspective on the preparation of the heart. He speaks on practices such as asceticism, prayer, stillness, spiritual friendship, and spiritual direction to enrich and cultivate affections for God.
