Description
Darrell Guder is a theologian and missiologist who is Professor of Missional and Ecumenical Theology Emeritus at Princeton Theological Seminary and has recently been appointed Senior Fellow in Resident for the Centre for Missional Leadership at St. Andrew's Hall, UBC. He is the author of one of the most important books written on the nature of the church in the past few decades. He has called the church back to its missional identity in Missional Church: A Vision for the Sending of the Church in North America (Grand Rapids: Eerdmans, 1998), in a manner that shows convincingly that 'missional,' properly understood, is not a fad or flavour of the month, but a crucial foundation for the church's understanding of its identity and health, both as the gathered and as the scattered church. He will be presenting a lecture on his latest book, Called to Witness: Doing Missional Theology (Grand Rapids: Eerdmans, Nov. 2015)
