Description
People often assume that science and religion have always been opposed. In reality, religious belief was essential in the emergence of modern science and the establishment of a prominent place for scientific activity in Western culture. Consider the Galileo affair, the publication of Darwin's Origin of Species, and other key episodes. Employ historical insight to clarify your view of the present relationship between science and religion.
