This series is intended to challenge listeners to reclaim the evangelical, theological heritage for spiritual formation. Gleaning from the wisdom of Paul, Athanasius, Augustine, Anselm, Aquinas, Calvin, Newton, Wesley, and Edwards, presenters address the relationship between Christian doctrine and Christian living, and between theological understanding and spiritual formation. Bruce Hindmarsh is the James M. Houston Professor of Spiritual Theology at Regent College. He also serves as the President of the American Society of Church History. He is author of John Newton and the English Evangelical Tradition: Between the Conversion of Wesley and Wilberforce and The Evangelical Conversion Narrative, and his articles have appeared in Church History and the Journal of Ecclesiastical History.

Ellen Charry is Margaret W. Harmon Professor of Historical and Systematic Theology at Princeton Theological Seminary. She is the author of By the Renewing of Your Minds: The Pastoral Function of Christian Doctrine, nquiring after God: Classic and Contemporary Readings, and God and the Art of Happiness.

James I. Packer is the Board of Governors' Professor of Theology at Regent College. His many books include Knowing God and Rediscovering Holiness.

James M. Houston is Board of Governors' Professor of Spiritual Theology at Regent College. Previously, he was University Lecturer at Oxford University. He is author of I Believe in the Creator, In Search of Happiness, The Heart's Desire: A Guide to Personal Fulfillment, The Transforming Power of Prayer: Deepening Your Friendship with God., Joyful Exiles, and Letters of Faith Through the Seasons.

John G. Stackhouse, Jr. is the Samuel J. Mikolaski Professor of Religious Studies and Dean of Faculty Development at Crandall University in New Brunswick. Prior to this, he was the Sangwoo Youtong Chee Professor of Theology and Culture at Regent College. He serves as an advisory editor at Christianity Today, a contributing editor at Books & Culture, and a columnist for Faith Today. He is the author of eight books, including Need to Know: Vocation as the Heart of Christian Epistemology, Making the Best of It: Following Christ in the Real World, and Can God be Trusted?: Faith and the Challenge of Evil, as well as the co-author, editor, and co-editor of seven more. His articles have been featured in many publications, including The New York Times, The Times Literary Supplement, The Atlantic, Time, and Reader's Digest.

Stanley J. Grenz was the Pioneer McDonald Professor of Baptist Heritage, Theology and Ethics at Carey Theological College. He was a former Baptist pastor and author of numerous books including Sexual Ethics: An Evangelical Perspective, The Moral Quest: Foundations of Christian Ethics, and Theology for the Community of God.
