This course is intended for those who are seriously considering pastoral ministry for themselves, for those who are already engaged in such ministry and want to better understand their calling, as well as for those who do not intend to pastor but who want to understand pastors and pastoral ministry.

Darrell W. Johnson is Senior Minister at First Baptist Church in Vancouver and former Associate Professor of Pastoral Theology at Regent College. Before coming to Regent he served for 30 years as Preaching Pastor for churches in the United States and the Philippines. He continues to teach as a sessional lecturer at Regent College.

Donald M. Lewis is Professor of Church History and Academic Dean at Regent College. He is the editor of Christianity Re-born: The Global Expansion of Evangelicalism in the 20th Century and The Blackwell Dictionary of Evangelical Biography 1730-1860 and author of Lighten Their Darkness: The Evangelical Mission to Working-class London, 1828-1860.

Sven K. Söderlund is Associate Professor in Biblical Studies. He is author of Greek Text of Jeremiah as well as editor of Romans and the People of God and The Way of Wisdom.

James M. Houston is Board of Governors’ Professor of Spiritual Theology at Regent College. He is author of I Believe in the Creator, In Search of Happiness, The Heart’s Desire: A Guide to Personal Fulfillment, The Transforming Power of Prayer: Deepening Your Friendship with God., Joyful Exiles, and Letters of Faith Through the Seasons: Vol. I.

James I. Packer is the Board of Govenors' Professor of Theology at Regent College. His many books include Knowing God and Rediscovering Holiness.

Ian S. Rennie is a former dean of Tyndale Seminary in Toronto, ON.

Bruce Hindmarsh is the James Houston Professor of Spiritual Theology at Regent College. Dr. Hindmarsh was a Pew research fellow at Oxford University from 1995-1997. He is author of John Newton and the English Evangelical Tradition: Between the Conversion of Wesley and Wilberforce.
