He also served on the translation committee of the NIV Bible.

Gordon D. Fee is Professor Emeritus of New Testament at Regent College. He has authored commentaries on 1 Corinthians, Philippians and the Pastoral Epistles, as well as books on exegesis, hermeneutics and the Holy Spirit.

Mark Davies is the Erb/Gullison Professor of Family Ministries at Carey Theological College. Mark Davies teaches classes at both Carey and Regent College on marriage, family and pastoral care/counselling.

Dr. Gay incisively discusses the huge impact of money on personal and social life. Considering the insights of a number of classical and contemporary social theorists, Gay shows the duplicity of a monetary ethos: capitalism is without question the most productive economic system ever devised, yet the market system also fosters a subtle nihilism that tends to empty the world of substance and meaning. Gay's analysis encourages readers to rediscover meanings and values that transcend "cash values" higher values that can free us from the market economy's grip on our culture.

Sarah Williams (BA,MA,Dphil (Oxford)) Is Associate Professor of History at Regent College in Vancouver, Canada. She is the author of Religious Belief and Popular Culture. She has written a number of articles and reviews for academic journals such as Past and Present, The Urban History Yearbook, The Journal of Victorian Culture, The Journal of the Oral History Society, Archives De Sciences Sociales Des Religions and The Journal of Nineteenth Century Studies.
