Clay received a Ph.D. in Theology and Ethics from Fuller Theological Seminary and a Ph.D. in Theology from the Free University of Amsterdam. He is currently a Research Fellow at New City Commons and a Theologian in Residence at First Presbyterian Church in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

Richard J. Mouw is Professor of Christian Philosophy at Fuller Theological Seminary. He served as Fuller's President for twenty years before retiring in 2013.
