Description
The book of Joshua begins and ends with words about a rest that God has in store for his people. But how can we find rest when our lives seem so stressful? How could Joshua and the people of Israel hope for rest when faced with conflict and hardship?
In this course, Dr. Phil Long aims to read and study the book of Joshua, carefully, prayerfully and contextually. He will help you explore the tri-fold character (literary, historical, theological) of these texts, to become a better reader of Scripture and so grow in grace and in the knowledge of him whom Joshua foreshadowed, and to cultivate an understanding of our mission as followers of Christ that will bring us balance and even rest amidst life's battles.
