Description
The Book of Micah opens with a thunderclap: "the word of the LORD." God's message "came" through Micah's personality, spirit, language and voice. Micah was also the LORD's pen. His voice led Hezekiah to repent (Jer 26:19). His pen guided the Magi to Bethlehem. The book still speaks. When the Library of Congress in Washington D.C. was rebuilt in the late 19th century, prominent religious leaders, after considering notable quotes from all known religious literature, chose Micah 6:8 as the motto for the alcove of religion. This course aims to open the student's ear to the LORD's message. His book adds substance to faith, confidence to truth, comfort to sorrow, ardor to virtue, vigor to gift, restraint in temptation, and fidelity in testing. Lectures include:
- Introductions to course and prophecy
- Introductions to Prophecy and to Book of Micah
- Micah 1 - 2
- Micah 3 - 5
- Micah 6
