Christopher J. H. Wright is the International Ministries Director of Langham Partnership International. Earlier, he was the principal of All Nations Christian College. He is author of numerous books including God's People in God's Land, Knowing Jesus through the Old Testament, Walking in the Ways of the Lord, What's So Unique about Jesus, as well as a commentary on Deuteronomy.

This 1995 Regent College Summer Public Lecture is centered around the missiological significance of Deuteronomy. Picking up on the meaning of 'crossing of border' in the word 'mission', Dr. Wright identifies the twofold missiological relevance of Deuteronomy. The first relevance is found in its teaching on how to love God in the context of 'crossing the border' of culture - culture change. The second relevance derives from that fact that the Israelites were entrusted with the mission of the monotheistic knowledge of the living God.
