Description
In this course, Dr. Iain Provan offers in-depth exploration of the book of Kings in its nature as narrative, history and theology. The course encourages careful questions about the interrelationship of these three and the consequences of the nature of the book for your application of it to Christian faith and life. A particular focus of the course will be upon reading Kings in the light of, and as setting the context for, the New Testament. How does serious reading of Kings as Christian Scripture affect our reading of the New Testament, and how does our knowledge of the New Testament affect our reading of Kings?
