Description
This conference investigates what it means to be both broken people living in a groaning world and God's image bearers in his good creation. In his two keynote lectures, Prof. Sir Ghillean Prance addresses the reality of a groaning creation along with the biblical hope underlying a Christian response to the environmental crisis. Gordon Fee and Bob Ekblad biblically frame the discussion by exegeting two key passages, Romans 8 and Genesis 2 & 3 respectively. Loren Wilkinson grapples with God's deep and profound love for all of creation and the implications of this love for both humanity and the rest of creation. Finally, Dave Bookless speaks on how we can work in the midst of suffering people and a groaning creation to practically incarnate this hope. Lectures include:
- Creation Groans - Sir Ghillean Prance
- Finding Our Way Back to Eden - Bob Ekblad
- Cosmic Pain of Redemption - Gordon Fee
- The Triune God and the Way of Love - Loren Wilkinson
- Fragile Clay Jars in a Pre-Packaged World - Dave Bookless
- There is Still Hope - Sir Ghillean Prance
