Luci Shaw is a teacher, editor, poet, and writer of creative prose, as well as a journal keeper and ardent photographer. She is Writer in Residence at Regent College in Vancouver, Canada, and author of more than twenty-five books, including Adventure of Ascent: Field Notes from a Lifelong Journey and God in the Dark: Through Grief and Beyond, as well as co-author (with Madeleine L'Engle) of Friends for the Journey: Two Extraordinary Women Celebrate Friendships Made and Sustained Through the Seasons of Life.

Madeleine L'Engle is the author of many acclaimed and popular books for adults and children including her Newbery Award-winner, A Wrinkle in Time and her autobiography, The Crosswicks Journal.
