She is Writer in Residence at Regent College in Vancouver, Canada, and author of more than twenty-five books, including Adventure of Ascent: Field Notes from a Lifelong Journey and God in the Dark: Through Grief and Beyond, as well as co-author (with Madeleine L'Engle) of Friends for the Journey: Two Extraordinary Women Celebrate Friendships Made and Sustained Through the Seasons of Life.
