Description
Unquestionably there is something like a groundswell of interest in spirituality and work. While previous decades were characterized by taking your hand, head and heart to work, in the twenty-first century we are asked to bring our souls to work. Just what does that mean? Is it merely one more New Age invasion of the so-called secular workplace? What does the Bible have to say about the head, heart and hand connection in the workplace? Do prayer and work really belong together? Is marketplace spirituality an oxymoron? Whether as executives, laborers, tradespeople, entrpreneurs or bureaucrats, followers of Jesus need a spirituaity for the other six days and not just for after-work and Sunday activities. Lectures include:
- The Inconvenience of Truth Which Comes at an Hour You Did Not Expect - Harry Robinson
- Work as Spiritual Formation - Paul Williams
- Spirituality at Work: Does it Mean Anything? - Pattie Towler
- Case Study: All is Vanity - Paul Stevens
- Workplace Spirituality in a Pagan Environment: Lessons from Daniel - Paul Williams
