F. F. Bruce was Rylands Professor of Biblical Criticism and Exegesis at the University of Manchester. He authored numerous commentaries and was general editor of the New International Commentary of the New Testament from 1962 until his death in 1990. His books include Paul: Apostle of the Heart Set Free and New Testament History.
