Description
Coming under the general area of the theological discipline of ethics, this course provides an introduction to the field of theological ethics within the framework of Trinitarian and covenantal relations, and as grounded in the Decalogue. Secondly, it is designed to encourage the moral formation of the Christian leader. Thirdly, this course develops a familiarity with the theological discipline of ethical inquiry, especially as that relates to pastoral ministry. While the course is designed primarily with a view toward what is often referred to as the 'professional' Christian ministry, the principles explored are applicable to Christians in all vocational contexts. Lectures include:
- Introduction
- The Nature and Task of Ethics
- The Foundations of Christian Ethics
- The Material for Christian Ethics
- Commandment Seven
- Commandments Two and Three
- Commandment Four
