Description
Throughout his political career, Preston Manning has endeavoured to move beyond the application of faith as an intellectual exercise alone. In this public lecture, Manning examines what a Christian faith perspective brings to such issues as rebooting the economy, conserving the environment, and the legal treatment of physician-assisted suicide. Drawing on his experience as a parliamentarian, Manning also proposes qualities and disciplines that a Christian in public life needs to cultivate in order to relate positively and effectively to his or her colleagues, foes, and constituents.
The Honourable Mary Polak, MLA, Minister of Aboriginal Relations and Reconciliation gives a formal response to Preston Manning's lecture on behalf of BC Premier Christy Clark.
