Matthew H. Logan completed a Ph.D in Psychology at the University of British Columbia with a focus on Crisis (Hostage) Negotiation and Major Criminal (Extremist) Conflict Management. He has been a member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police for 21 years, and a visiting professor at the University of Victoria and Trinity Western University.
