Description
While the Professional side of people-helping is both necessary and important, many of us are called to speak into the lives of friends and family members who are hurting. We often engage in this ministry with fear and anxiety and with a sense of ignorance about why people hurt, what they can do about their plan and how they can embrace their plan while believing in a God who loves and cares for them or not believing in a God at all. As a result we experience inadequacy in trying to be helpful. This course, open to all who seek to be helpful in their relationships, focuses on how to better understand hurting people, how to speak effectively into their lives and how to live a life that provides health and healing to those around us. Lectures include:
- Professionals and Amateurs
- Care and Compassion
- Problems and Pain
- Scripture and Prayer
- Self-Care and Others
