Dr. Rhonda McEwenis a lifelong educator committed to interdisciplinary approaches to learning. She comes to Regent with a wealth of experience in adult and higher education and intercultural teaching and training. Dr. McEwen has taught courses, designed curricula, and supervised research with culturally diverse learners in local and global educational settings. Previously, she served as Associate Professor of Intercultural Education at Biola University and Asst. Dean at Azusa Pacific University. She has also taught at Wheaton College and Trinity International University.nnIn addition to higher education, Dr. McEwen has served in a number of local, regional, and international leadership roles including her work as Director of Training with the Chalmers Center for Economic Development at Covenant College and Food for the Hungry International. She holds a PhD in Educational Studies from Trinity International University, an MA in Cross-cultural Ministries from Dallas Theological Seminary, and a BA in Linguistics from the University of Ottawa.nnDr. McEwen grew up in Ottawa, Canada, and has since lived and worked in Asia, Africa, and North America. Her research interests include transformative learning and culture change, education in pluralistic contexts, and innovation in global theological education.
