Ernest Runions (1939-89) was the first Principal of Carey Theological College in the late 1970s. As a physician his work involved the practice of Psychiatry and teaching at the University of Alberta and the University of British Columbia, before becoming Medical Director of Riverview Hospital in 1986. His work as a minister included pastoring West Point Grey Baptist Church and serving as Interim Preaching Minister at First Baptist Church Vancouver.
