Description
This course, offered during Spring School 2003, aims to introduce the student to the Book of Proverbs and to apply the book's wisdom to specific areas of life. The introduction will consider among other things the sage's epistemology; a definition of his terms "wisdom," "fear of the Lord," "Woman Wisdom," and his theory of religious education.
The course will also consider the book's structure, its doctrine of health, wealth, and prosperity, and its connection to the wisdom of Jesus Christ. The book's wisdom will be specifically applied to communication/speech, wealth/money, marriage/husband and wife, parenting, and friendship. Lectures include:
